Thunder (Official Music Video) Music Video Featured on New Release Today!

New Release Today Front Page

When I opened my email early Sunday morning I found a great surprise. New Release Today emailed me to let me know that my new music video, Thunder, is being featured on their main page. (pictured above) They also told me it would be going out in an email blast this coming Friday.

New Release Today the largest Christian music and entertainment site online with 650 thousand visitors a month.

The music video for Thunder released went love just 4 days ago on February 9th. Thunder is a never before released song by the late Rich Mullins. It’s such a great honor for me to be the first to introduce the song with the world.

Jason Elam at Agape Media In Dayton Ohio did an amazing job with the music video, which you can see below. With just under a month before the new album releases, I’m praising the Lord for the way He is providing.

What a good God!

Sing Prayerfully

Pray with us as we continue to edit this video and are making preparations for its release. This is a great reminder from Moody Radio Studios. I pray it for this music video as well. “Your song may be used to save a soul. Sing it prayerfully.”

We appreciate any help you are able to give on our GoFundMe page, no matter how small or large. To God be the glory

Podcast Episode 176: Watching, Waiting, Longing and the Advent Hymn Music Video

On this episode of Voices In My Head I share about some of the great things God is doing, has done, and where we believe God is leading us next. We are making a music video on September 23rd and I’m requesting three things from the listeners of Voices in My Head:
1.) Prayer
2.) Financial Support
3.) Your Prayerfully Imaginative Ideas for the video

Our hope is to portray that while we are in the midst of great brokenness, and longing that we hopefully look to the great mystery of our faith Christ has died, Christ Is Risen, and that Christ is Coming Back again.

Listen to this 20 minute episode and then visit to find out how you can help make this video a reality.

366 Days Video Project

366 Days of Rick from Rick Lee James on Vimeo.

I’ve decided confront my own humanity with a video project documenting myself over an entire year. I was going to call the project 365 Days of Rick but since it’s a leap year I had to throw in an extra day so now it’s called 366 days of Rick. I know what you’re thinking, that’s way too many days of Rick and I don’t disagree with you but let me explain the premise.

In our society we want instant gratification and I guess this was kind of my quiet protest against that. Significant things can happen over time, but we need to be willing to wait on them. I don’t know if this project will hold significance for anyone but me but I’m doing it anyway. I’m not a very patient person so it’s kind of stretching me to do something like this.

I just wanted to try something unique this year. I wasn’t sure exactly what the final outcome would be, but that’s what faith is, following when we don’t know where we are going.

With that said I wish you all a wonderful start to what I hope is a Happy New Year! I hope you enjoy 366 Days of Rick Lee James.

As promised last January first, here is a complete year of video from my life.

There were 366 days in 2012 because it was a leap year. Time moves so quickly and yet the past is not as far away as it might seem. I took a video a day for all 366 days of 2012 as a way to look at a year of my life, all the changes it brings, and maybe even to learn something about myself. A person can change in many subtle ways over a year. This is a year of my life in short daily video clips. You will hear songs I have written accompanying this mini-movie of my life in a year.

Happy New Year everyone, bring on the baby!
