366 Days Video Project

366 Days of Rick from Rick Lee James on Vimeo.

I’ve decided confront my own humanity with a video project documenting myself over an entire year. I was going to call the project 365 Days of Rick but since it’s a leap year I had to throw in an extra day so now it’s called 366 days of Rick. I know what you’re thinking, that’s way too many days of Rick and I don’t disagree with you but let me explain the premise.

In our society we want instant gratification and I guess this was kind of my quiet protest against that. Significant things can happen over time, but we need to be willing to wait on them. I don’t know if this project will hold significance for anyone but me but I’m doing it anyway. I’m not a very patient person so it’s kind of stretching me to do something like this.

I just wanted to try something unique this year. I wasn’t sure exactly what the final outcome would be, but that’s what faith is, following when we don’t know where we are going.

With that said I wish you all a wonderful start to what I hope is a Happy New Year! I hope you enjoy 366 Days of Rick Lee James.

As promised last January first, here is a complete year of video from my life.

There were 366 days in 2012 because it was a leap year. Time moves so quickly and yet the past is not as far away as it might seem. I took a video a day for all 366 days of 2012 as a way to look at a year of my life, all the changes it brings, and maybe even to learn something about myself. A person can change in many subtle ways over a year. This is a year of my life in short daily video clips. You will hear songs I have written accompanying this mini-movie of my life in a year.

Happy New Year everyone, bring on the baby!

Blessings,
Rick Lee James

New Rick Lee James YouTube Channel

Greetings Internet,

In an attempt to have a more memorable YouTube address I recently started a new YouTube Channel at a super catchy web address. Ready for it? Are you sure? It’s really hard to remember. Okay, here it is:

 YouTube.com/RickLeeJames

Because it is a new page there are hardly any views yet, so if you have some time and want to hear some Rick Lee James official music, including some Christmas stuff, go to

YouTube.com/RickLeeJames

Below is a sample of what you will find there.  Let me know what you think.

Blessings,

Rick Lee James
