Want To Hear A Track From My New CD?

If you haven’t heard yet, my new album is recorded and mixed, promo photos have been taken, publishing contracts have been executed, and I am currently in talks with media promoters and graphic designers.

With that being said we still are quite a bit short financially and could really use your help to complete the album. I still have to pay for mastering, printing the discs, distribution fees, art design, and promotion. This puts me at least $1000 short at this point.

The record is being released on March 17th (St. Patrick’s Day) but my plan is to have it mastered, pressed, and mailed out to donors before Christmas. With your help I know this can be accomplished. If you could once again help me spread the word about our gofundme page that would be a great help.

Also, several,of you have told me that you are planning on contributing but just haven’t yet. I would encourage you to do it now if you are planning to, then you can get a copy of the album well before the rest of the world.

Just to sweeten the pot a bit more, to all new donors who give $10 or more between now and Thanksgiving, I will immediately send you a track from the new record.

I’ve listened to the unmastered mixes from start to finish about 6 times now and I still Cant believe how great it sounds.Craig Adams did an amazing job of producing, singing BGV’s and assembling some of the best musicians and engineers that Nashville (the world really) have to offer. I’m a blessed man to have such care given to my songs.

Help me spread the word and give if you can.Wishing you all a great week.

In Nashville Making A Record

It’s good to be in Nashville tonight. I got to hang out with my friend Nicholas LaFleur for a bit and drink some delicious tea from ‘The Well’ coffeehouse. Back at my hotel room I ended the day using face time to talk to my beautiful wife Jennifer and my son Alexander. All in all, a tiring but very good day. Tomorrow I hit the recording studio with Craig Adams. I would appreciate your prayers that we make the best record we can for the glory of God. This is a prayer I pray often from the book of common prayer and I’m praying it for this project.

“God, whom saints and angels a delight to worship in heaven: be ever present with your servants who seek through art and music to perfect the praise offered by your people on earth; glimpses of your beauty, and make them worthy at length to behold it unveiled for evermore; through Jesus Christ our Lord.”

#HymnLyrics – Crown Him With Many Crowns (Verse 4)

Sometimes you just need to hear the lyrics to some great hymns. #HymnLyricsCrownHimWithManyCrowns Verse 4

Verse 4

Crown Him the Lord of peace
Whose power a sceptre sways
From pole to pole
That wars may cease
And all be prayer and praise
His reign shall know no end
And round His pierced feet
Fair flowers of paradise extend
Their fragrance ever sweet

Rick Lee James Partnering With Lifeway Worship To Make New Record

Dear Friends,

I have some incredible news to share with you about the record I’ll be recording this December in Nashville. I’ve only shared this news with investors and some family up to this point, but am now ready to share it with the rest of you.

A few weeks ago, I initiated a partnership with LifeWay Worship that will get me a long way down the road toward the accomplishment of a new album. Because of LifeWay Worship’s involvement, I will be able to record this album at one of the best studios in Nashville with A-list players and engineers. The investment of LifeWay Worship, alongside funds donated via  GoFundMe.com and my own personal investment, is making the dream become reality!

Here’s What This Means:

  • Funding to record and mix the album has been secured in full.
  • All songs recorded will be featured on my solo album and will be be repurposed by LifeWay Worship to introduce songs and arrangements at lifewayworship.com (charts, tracks, lyric files will be offered there).
  • All songs included on the project will be pitched to a variety of publishers, labels, and artists for placement in choral print and/or on any number of 3rd party album releases.

All this is to say, through God’s provision and generosity expressed through LifeWay Worship and an amazing team of partners at www.gofundme.com/hymns, we’re going to make an amazing record which has the potential be used as a music resource for churches internationally. I can hardly believe that God has blessed me with this opportunity 7 years after I accepted His invitation to make music for the church on a broader scale. 7 is the number in scripture that represents God so I see this as a tangible sign of His guiding hand.

These songs were birthed out of my local congregation’s times of worship at First Church of the Nazarene in Springfield Ohio. I am so blessed that we will be able to share our musical expressions of worship on a larger scale using ancient and modern hymns. I can’t thank my producer, Craig Adams, enough for investing so much of himself into this project. He and I share a common calling to equip churches for worship. Authentic worship is what we pray will be experienced by congregations worldwide as they sing these songs.

Additional funding is still needed in order to accomplish album design, photography, printing costs, manufacturing, and miscellaneous expenses. Any additional funds collected at GoFundMe.com/hymns will help us achieve completion of the entire project. Thank you to all of you who have already given to this project and to those of you who still plan on partnering with us. I give all praise to our Glorious God and I pray He will use these songs of worship to glorify Himself and to further His Kingdom here on earth.  Bless the Lord at all times!

In His Glad Service,
Rick Lee James
